Im Anschluss zeigen wir Jasmin Tabatabais neuesten Film Altiplano als Deutschlandpremiere

The festive opening of the 6th perspektive, International Human Rights Film Festival Nuremburg, will be celebrated on September 30th at 7pm with greetings by Nuremberg's Mayor Dr. Ulrich Maly.
After the opening ceremony we present Jasmin Tabatabai's newest film, Altiplano as a German premiere:
Devastated by a violent incident in Iraq, the war photographer Grace decides to renounce her profession. Meanwhile, her Belgian husband, Max, is a cataract surgeon at a clinic in the high Andes of Peru. In the nearby village of Turubamba locals have been succumbing to illnesses caused by a mercury spill at a local mine. Saturnina, a young woman in the village, loses her fiancé to the contamination. The villagers turn their rage on the foreign doctors. Max is killed in an ensuing riot. Saturnina takes drastic measures to protest against the endless violations of her people and their land. Whilst Grace sets out on a journey of mourning to the place of Max’s death.
Altiplano is a lyrical and probing film about our divided but inextricably linked world.
